Addison's 3rd Birthday Party!

My big girl, Addie, will be 3 this Saturday, May 23rd. I can't believe it!!! She is so much fun - so funny and entertaining. She is even "trying" to tell jokes. She can remember everything and will repeat something you said 4 days ago word for word! It has been so funny realizing our mannerisms and sayings through the mouth and hands of a 3 year-old! So many times we say I don't know where she gets that and soon we will catch ourselves saying or doing it unconciously. One of her favorite sayings when Lee starts fussing is "Our daddy has lost his mind!" She is definitely into asking "Why?" to every comment you make! And, can read both of her Fancy Nancy books purely through memorization! Anyway, we had her party last Sunday at Blue Ribbon Riding Academy in Canton. She LOVES horses (we drive a certain route on the way to and from school to see lots of horses)! They had an absolute blast and I got attacked Monday at daycare by excited little girls who loved riding the horses! They are definitely a giggly group! Thanks to everyone that made the trip; we really appreciate you being a part of her big day! Also, thanks for all the help from running my cameras, walking along with little cowgirls & cowboys, taking care of Maggie, etc.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADDISON - YOU MAKE LIFE MORE AND MORE FUN EACH AND EVERY DAY! WE LOOK FORWARD TO MANY MORE CELEBRATIONS!

Fun-filled Weekend!

We have had a busy, busy weekend and currently both girls are asleep and we are just spending a lazy Sunday afternoon inside!

Kate, Sloan, Molly, Meg and Jason all came in Friday night and we enjoyed some scrumptious burgers at Mugshots (thanks Meg & Jason) before hangin' out at home! Morgan graduated from Wesley Biblical Seminary with her Masters of Divinity Saturday morning at 9:30 so we were all up and going REAL early. I have to brag because we were all dressed and arrived at graduation by 9:00! Morgan gave the student's appreciation speech to the faculty and did an amazing job. We are all so very proud of you. You have already touched so many lives and will continue to reach many others - she also received the compassionate minister award (not sure if that is the exact title). After graduation, Marion Hall and Stephanie hosted a celebration luncheon at their house in Madison and everything was delicious. Meg and Jason had to get back home, and Nana decided to spend Saturday night with us. Morgan, Haydn, Anne (Adams) and Marnie came out and we enjoyed a fun night catching up on the back porch (the weather was great). It is so quiet at the house right now and we are a little sad! Sloan and Molly are so good to play and entertain the girls and are such big helpers! Thanks for coming and we can't wait to see y'all again soon!

The Graduate! All of Morgan's family (well, most of them!)
The proud husband - I don't know what these two are going to do now that neither of them will be in school - well, that is, at least until Mary Milton gets here!

"Mommy & Me" Easter Gathering

Saturday afternoon of Easter weekend, we all gathered at Mrs. Vicky Rogers' house to see how much the little ones had grown since Christmas and enjoyed catching up! It was so much fun and so many little ones to keep up with. By our next gathering this summer it will be even harder as I expect most of the babies will be crawling around and getting into everything! Can't wait!!!

We were so glad that we made it to Macon in time for the big egg hunt with the children from the church where both Lee and I grew up in - it was great to see everyone!

6 Months - Food, Food, Food!

6 Month Check-up Stats:
weight - 17 lbs. 1 oz. (75%)
height - 26 inches (75%)
Maggie is halfway to the big one! I can't beieve it!!! She is learning so much and such a little happy baby. She started baby food this month and loves squash, sweet potatoes, and sweet peas and had no problem turning her nose up to carrots and green beans! She is also really fond of her oatmeal and banana cereal. She is practicing keeping her balance while sitting up and is scooting and rolling all around the floor. Her current fascinations are getting her feet to her mouth and blowing spit bubbles. Addie does a great job feeding Maggie so she is a big help - she knows how to scrap the back of the spoon on the bowl then wipe around her mouth! Addison has also become extremely attached to her baby dolls and does everything that Lee and I do with Maggie - it is so cute!
