Parkway Hills UMC Easter Egg Hunt

Addison couldn't wait to get started hunting eggs!
First, we did a craft! Addie and I decorated Easter eggs to put pictures of them with the Easter Bunny in!
Look at all the people! They hid over 1300 eggs!!! It was definitely a sight to see!

Check out my basketful!
Maggie enjoyed the afternoon out in the sun once she woke up from her nap!

Check out my big girl and the Easter Bunny...she still enjoys these oversized characters from afar - wasn't very fond of being up close and personal!
My little one, on the other hand, had no problem with bouncing right up in the Easter Bunny's lap! And big sister had no problem with watching her! I couldn't convince Addison to get up there with Maggie!

Let's Make a Pizza!

After the Easter egg hunt, we stopped by the grocery store and Addison and I decided to make a pizza! She did a great job and we had a lot of fun!!!
Leaving our handprints in the dough!
Spreading the cheese...
Yep...the pepperoni is good!
Finished product...and it was delish!!!

St. Paddy's Day Parade!

The St. Paddy's Day parade rolled through downtown Jackson this past weekend and we were several of the many thousands and thousands of spectators that turned out for this event complete with absolutely beautiful weather. I grew up attending the parade most every year with my grandmother, her sister, and my cousins so it was so much fun to be able to share this with my mom and two little girls! If you are looking for fun weekend in March, I would definitely recommend it. Needless to say, we had a blast and Addison was very into catching lots and lots of beads. After putting quite a few on herself, she would say, "I want to put one on you, Mommy!" Anxiously waiting for the parade to start...
We lucked up and even got a spot in the shade so we didn't have to worry about getting sunburned. Da'be made sure that Addie was close enough to share in all of the excitement as well as catch a few beads! They didn't miss too many that came within their reach - they were pretty fearless!

Maggie even caught a few little beads and a stuffed duck that was thrown especially to her!
Getting ready to call it a day...after two and a half hours and the parade still going strong, I asked Addie is she was ready to go and she said yeah, maybe we can come back and see some more parade tomorrow!
Look at all the beads!!! So much fun!

I have been meaning to write about this cute little moment with Addison for quite sometime, but always forget. Even though it doesn't go with this, I will take time to do it now! About a month ago, I was changing out seasons in Addison's closet and had her trying on lots of clothes. Her overalls caught her finger when I was snapping it together. I know it hurt - she didn't cry, but I immediately started kissing it to make it feel better then she wimpered and said, "Mama that kiss went away; kiss it again!" I felt terrible. And, I found it funny that when it still hurt after I stopped kissing it, she assumed that the kiss had gone away!

Playing Catch Up!

Well, it has been awhile...

Maggie reached the 5 month mark and is learning more and more every day - she is so much fun! She is giggling up a storm at all things Addison!!! Addie can make her sister laugh in a heartbeat and that is so much fun to watch. She is blowing bubbles, rolling over, and sticking her feet in her mouth, just to name a few of her many tricks!
Licking the spoon after finishing off a big bowl of rice cereal with apples!
We made our first trip back to Macon since Christmas a couple of weekends ago! We stopped by and visited with Maw-Maw and she enjoyed having a lap full of great-grands!
Aunt Meg picked this beautiful flower for Addie
Smiley Girl!

We had so much fun playing at Da'be and Nana's houses and visiting all of our friends and family!
Then, we came home to some beautiful weather and enjoyed a few afternoons out on our swingset!

A Weekend full of R&R (and even a little snow!)

Well, we had a wonderful weekend full of rest and relaxation - it was great! Addie helped me go through both hers and Maggie's closets on Saturday to pack away some of the things they had both outgrown. Today, we all enjoyed an afternoon nap snuggled up inside from the cold weather with two of the most beautiful girls in the world! Everyone was asleep and I was trying to get some stuff done, as usual, and I decided to join them! We met up with ToTo, Auntie Em, and Mason Saturday night for dinner at the Cock of the Walk and then tried to go bowling. It was a 2 hour wait for a lane so we just went back to their house and bowled on the Wii and had some ice cream!
These two had fun rolling around and making baby-talk with each other and giggling at Addison's dance moves! This morning, we woke up to a snow-covered deck and ran out and made a few snowballs before heading off to church. Addison is batting a thousand at seeing snow once a year!
Addie tried her a bite of fresh snow...
then brought one in for Maggie (since it was too cold outside for her)

Addison's imagination has been running wild lately. After taking her baby, named Caylee Ray (who is actually a girl in her class at daycare), strolling and shopping to buy dresses, shoes, and groceries, she headed to the kitchen to cook a meal! She wanted to stroll Maggie and take her shopping once she woke up from her nap too.

The chef at work!
Feeding a hungry customer!
Earlier tonight, we all got our share of stickers!

Have a great week...
