Welcome to the World Baby Girl!

Since a picture is worth a thousand words and words cannot accurately describe the joy of having a child, I can't think of a better reason for all the pictures that will follow in the upcoming posts! We welcomed Maggie Elisabeth Lindley into the world on October 8, 2008 at 7:27 AM. She weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz. and was 2o in. long - a perfect angel! We can't wait to raise our two beautiful girls and lead and walk with them down the path that God has already prepared for them!
This picture was taken shortly after 6:30 AM in the pre-op room. Addison came in her pajamas as it was definitely too early for her to be up! She quickly perked up when she realized what was about to happen and changed into her "big sister" shirt. She was so sweet and definitely concerned asking questions such as "Where's Mommy going?" and "What are they doing?" - she also wasn't too sure about Lee being decked out in the "doctor" outfit!
The first look at our precious little girl
With tears of joy streaming down his face, Lee introduces Maggie for the first time to all of our family.
I finally get my hands on her!
First "new" family photo - Addison got her own copy of Maggie's footprints and she wore them around all day!
Addison gets to hold her "baby sister" for the very first time - she is head over heals in love! This is my favorite picture!
I had to include this photo as well as it is the best description of how Addison gets anytime she is around Maggie - she gets so giggly that she starts belly-laughing then the whole room is full of laughter!
Da'be
Aunt Meg
Suzy - she kept Addison while we were in the hospital and we can't thank her enough - she definitely had the hardest task of the week and I know that she was worn out!
Nana
CC
Nana and Daddy - already sporting her maroon and white! Aunt Morgan
Da'be, Mama, and CC
Mama, Daddy, Mason, To-To, and Auntie Em - we are so excited that Mason and Maggie will be so close in age and will enjoy playing together for many years to come.

The night before Maggie was born!

Thought that I would start at the beginning and get my blog updated a little day by day! Since Maggie was a scheduled c-section and she didn't decide to come on her own, we were able to have a "party" with our family the night before she was born. Lee and I both worked up until the last minute then headed home for a cookout. CC came into town on Sunday so she was already here and had picked up Addison from daycare, then Nana and Meg got here, and then Da'be! Lee cooked hamburgers on the grill and I enjoyed a good hearty meal followed by some Brooksville bakery pecan pie and ice cream before being cut off at midnight from any solid foods for the next several days (ugh!). We blew up the air mattress, which as you can see, Addison enjoyed playing on and had a big spend the night party! It was so much fun and we really enjoyed having everyone here for Maggie's birth!

Happy Birthday to Mommy!

Today is my birthday and I can't think of a better way to spend it than with my family! It is so nice having Maggie here to celebrate and having Addison wake me up with her version of "Happy Birthday" was music to my ears - I absolutely adore these two little girls! My mom spent the day with me before heading back home; she will be greatly missed as she has been a huge help since coming home from the hospital. Thanks to everyone that called, texted, stopped by, sent cards, etc. - sorry to those of you that I missed talking to because of obvious unmentionable reasons, but I did listen to all the voicemails. I received many wonderful gifts - my husband and daughters gave me a much-needed purse that will be put to good use once I go back to work after maternity leave or when I get a date-night out without a diaper bag as well as a book to learn how to use my Photoshop Elements software that I received last Christmas - I am so excited about learning how to hopefully make some of my pictures professional looking! My mom surprised me with the Vera Bradley diaper bag that I have been eyeing that matches my luggage and I can't wait to get out of the house and use it; it is big enough for Maggie and Addison's stuff as well as my wallet! I also received many other nice things - mums, money, etc. - Thanks everyone!

Several of my co-workers stopped by today at lunch to play with Maggie and brought me these cupcakes for my birthday - how sweet! They were great and needless to say, Addison really enjoyed digging into them!

Keep checking the blog - I plan to post pictures from the hospital hopefully tomorrow! Sorry for the delay...

Getting Ready for Miss Maggie!

Below is a slideshow of preparations over the last few months to get ready to welcome little Miss Maggie tomorrow! We are so excited that the day is finally here and can't wait to meet her. We changed up a few things in Addison's nursery to ensure that she doesn't feel slighted when she is old enough to notice. We re-framed cross-stitched nursery rhymes that hung in mine and CC's room when we were little and I even lucked up on getting new bedding at the garage sale that all of us girl's in the neighborhood had a few months back. It is so cute! Addison has been a big help in getting the room and house ready. This past weekend, I was outside hosing down the swing, bathtub, etc. and while I was drying off the swing, I looked around the corner and little Miss Independent had filled up the tub and stripped down to take a bath!!! She is such a character and keeps us laughing all the time. Enjoy!
This past weekend, we went out to eat on Saturday and do a couple of things that we thought Addison might enjoy! We had dinner at Sal & Mookie's and she enjoyed playing with some cool Wikki Sticks - much cleaner that the pizza dough! Then, we headed to Renaissance to walk around and find some ICE CREAM!

What better place than "Maggie" Moo's - we will definitely have to take Maggie here! So many choices and not a bad one on the menu!

Like Father, Like Daughter!

Happy Birthday Hayes!

Sunday, we went to Pump It Up to help celebrate Hayes Carr turning 1! We had so much fun and it was a great pre-baby outing for Addison. She loved it - and I was just jealous that I didn't get to join in on the fun and Lee got to be a kid for another day! Happy Birthday Hayes - we wish you many, many more!!!

Welcome Neighbor - Meet Garrett Alexander Kosko!

Well, Bailey beat Addison at becoming a big brother before she got to be a big sister! But, not by much. Garrett held out as long as he could and entered into this world on October 3rd at 6:10 P.M. weighing 6 lbs. even and 19 in. long. Very good size considering he decided to come 4 weeks early. He is healthy and just precious. Mamie and I just knew that we were going to end up having these babies on the same day. Oh well, we weren't far off! This picture was taken on Oct. 1st - we took supper over to the Kosko's since Mamie has been on strict bedrest and knowing Mamie I know how difficult it has been for her just to sit there! Addison and Bailey enjoyed running around and we just did get a picture of us two preggos in time!
Friday night, Bailey got to stay with us while Garrett was being born and we had soooo much fun! These pictures were taken not long after Bailey became a big brother! Don't they look like they are having fun!

We got to meet precious Garrett and he is an absolute angel - Congrats to Mamie, Paul, and Bailey!

Maggie's Baby Shower in Macon!

It has been one crazy week at work and I really apologize for the delay in posting these pictures. Lee's family gave baby Maggie a wonderful baby shower last Sunday and she got lots of of great gifts. She will be a well-dressed little girl and since she and Addison are born in different seasons they were are all very much needed and appreciated. The hostesses (Aunt Pat, Aunt Linda, Meg, Bobbie, Amy, and Lindley) gave us a gift certificate to Babies R Us and we are so excited because we have been wanting a video monitor since Addison was born, but have never wanted to splurge and buy it, and now we can!!! Thanks so much! Addison was well-prepared that we were going to a party for Maggie; in fact, she kept saying "It's Maggie's party, not my party." But, everyone was overly generous and she gots lots of great happies as well. Thanks for including the big sister! I thought that she would be a help to me with opening all the many gifts, but she was much more interested in playing with Jay, Hailey, and Camryn. Once again, thanks for all the hard work on the shower and all the many nice things that we received.

These clothes are so tiny; it is hard to remember that my big girl used to fit into these!
Addison surprised me with a little lamb rattle that she gave to her baby sister!
My mom made all of these bows as well as the bow holder for both of the Lindley girls! Isn't she talented; too bad that homemaker gene didn't pass on to me!
Maggie's birth announcement canvas for her room and the hospital from Uncle G and M - it is similar to Addison, but not identical - I love it!
All the grandmas!
The hostesses - thanks for all of your hard work - the shower was wonderful!
Wow! Look at all the stuff! This was mine and Addison's Saturday project. We got it all washed and put up and ready to use!

Here is Addison with all of her gifts that she received at "Maggie's party!"
